“To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under the Heaven; A time to be born, and a time to die…A Time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance” Ecclesiastes 3: 1-4
On Friday, October 17, 2025 Mark A. Williams received an invitation from Heaven, inviting him to dance around the throne of His Heavenly Father. Knowing how much Mark loved to dance, he accepted without hesitation.
Mark A. Williams was born on July 1, 1968 to the late Shirley and John Williams. He graduated from Penn Wood High School in Lansdowne, Pennsylvania, where he excelled in academics and football. Throughout high school, he became known across the county as an outstanding defensive tackle. In his senior year of high school, he was captain of the football team, selected for the All Star Delco Team, and played in the Hero Bowl.
He went on to play football at Bucknell University where he was voted as team captain in his senior year. Also during his time at Bucknell, he became a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., Mu Beta Chapter.
Nothing pleased Mark more than attending family gatherings. To Mark, quality time with family was invaluable. He also loved hanging out with his fraternity brothers of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. He still maintains a close relationship with friends and family from Pennsylvania, Maryland and Texas. Mark was bigger than life. When he walked into any room, joy walked in with him. His huge heart and generosity was a testament to who he was, along with being an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.
After graduating from Bucknell, Mark became the youngest regional manager at Enterprise. Throughout twenty plus years of service, his hard work and determination led him to excel and hold many positions. He later joined CARFAX, where he continued to thrive as a successful Field Service Director for over a decade.
On September 23, 2023, Mark married his high school sweetheart, whom he often referred to as his soulmate, Erinn. For a short, two years, they enjoyed a life filled with love, traveling, creating memories with family and attending family functions. They also attended activities sponsored by their respective divine nine affiliations, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
Mark’s life was one of service and joy. While living in Maryland before relocating to Dallas, he attended the Church of Saint Mary the Virgin. Mark served as the President of St. Stephen’s Court LLC since 2021. St. Stephen’s Court is one of the few remaining black owned commercial properties of its size and financial strength. It’s a 72 unit apartment building in West Baltimore right next to Coppin State University. Mark was instrumental in preventing the church of St. Mary the Virgin Episcopal Church from losing the property. His integrity set an example that they are incredibly proud of. After moving to Dallas, Mark and Erinn joined One Community Church. At “The One”, Mark enjoyed serving as a member of the usher ministry.
He was proceeded in death by his Mom, Shirley, bonus son Johnathan, maternal and paternal grandparents and several aunts and uncles. Mark leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted and loving wife, Erinn, his father John Williams, his “O” Mom Audrey McKenzie (Lloyd), his sister Laurelle Suever, his brother Erik (Stine) Williams, his niece and nephew Chloe and Marcus, his mother-in-law Lauretta Miller, Brothers-in-law Mark (Linda) and Norman Miller, and six bonus children: Paxton, Lauren, Jonai, Myah, Egypt, and Gabriel. Also, Mark leaves Aunts, Alma, Pat, Joanie, Wanda, Debbie, Rona, Freda and Roz, uncles, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
