Martia died peacefully in the T. Boone Pickens Hospice Hospital in Dallas, Texas at the age of 96. Martia was born May 29, 1926 in Dallas, Texas to Tony and Athan Angelo, one of seven children. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and sister. Martia was a second mother to many of her nieces and nephews and every weekend she and Junior fed and entertained the whole family at their home. Martia is survived by her daughter, Cora (Scottie) Moody, and many nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by all her family. Martia was preceded in death by her husband, Joe T. Scottino, Jr.; son-in-law, Mike Moody; brothers, Carlo Angelo, Nicky Angelo; sisters, Bessie Jayroe, Mary Smith, Charlene Keith, and Josephine Angelo.
Visitation will take place from 6-8pm with Rosary at 7pm Monday, May 1, at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 W. Northwest Highway, Dallas, TX. Funeral Mass will begin at 2pm on Tuesday, May 2, at Calvary Hill Chapel North, 3235 Lombardy Ln, Dallas, TX. Both services will be led by Rev. Msgr. Milam Joseph.
