On September 14, 1942 Marva Maxine Hall (Maxine) was born to Melvin Brown and Waldean Johnson in McGregor, Texas. Waldean soon moved Maxine and her sister, Aara Robinson, to Dallas where Maxine grow into an outgoing woman. After marrying Curtis Lee Thomas, she soon gave birth to a bouncing baby boy, Curtis Lee Thomas Jr. All the while, she grew in her faith and love of the Lord. Later she married Bobby Hall.
Full of joy and laughter, Maxine was always the center of attention. She never met a stranger, and had plenty to say to make everyone around laugh alongside with her. She was a straight talker, who compassionately looked out for those under her wing. Maxine had a smile that was contagious. Her giving spirit showed her kind-hearted nature.
She received Christ and was baptized at Full Gospel Holy Temple. Maxine attended Bible Deliverance, and most recently The Potter’s House pastored by T.D. Jakes.
Maxine was preceded in death by: Waldean Johnson (mother), Melvin Brown (father), Bobby Hall (husband), Aara Robinson (sister), and Shelia Brown (sister).
She leaves to cherish her memories: Curtis Lee Thomas, Jr. (son), Roslyn Jackson (daughter), Helen Beasley (cherished friend), Cleandria (Neece) Gayles (great-niece), Tony Thomas (granddaughter), Gloria (Ann) Balon (niece), Cleveland (Wayne) Jackson (nephew), Bennie Ruth Brown (sister), Mary Johnson (sister), Billie Brown (sister), Anthony (Charlotte) Brown (brother), George Brown (brother), Melvon Brown (brother), Elvin Hicks (brother), and a host of nieces, nephews, god children, cousins, and friends.
