Mary A. Blakeway Beyers

Mary Ann Blakeway Beyers was born on December 15, 1929 in Dallas Texas to parents Jesse and Ruth Blakeway. She attended High School at Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas, Texas and went on to College at Eastfield College in Mesquite, Texas. Mary married the love of her life Leo Beyers and they spent many happy years together.

She was a successful real estate broker and owner of Mary Beyers Real Estate. She was the first female right of way agent for the state of Texas and helped purchase much of the land for the George W. Bush Freeway. Mary was a member of the Destiny Christian Center. She loved the lord and made many special trips around the world with her church and International Crusaders sharing the love of Jesus.

Mrs. Beyers is survived by her children Mary Johnson & husband Richard of Crandall Texas, Jesse Beyers & wife Kay of Amarillo, Texas, Rebecca Shields of Mesquite, Texas; Step Daughters Bobby Edwards of Vicksburg Mississippi, Anne Sparks of Sanford Florida, 12 Grandchildren; 17 Great Grandchildren and sister, Juannella Crisp of Amarillo, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband Leo Beyers, parents, Jesse and Ruth Blakeway and sister, Carole Goodnight.

Visitation will be held at Grove Hill Funeral Home on Friday February 3, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at Grove Hill Funeral Home on Saturday February 4, 2017 at 11:00 AM with Pstors Jerry Howell and Derek Johnson Officiating. Interment will follow at Grove Hill Memorial Park.
