Dr. Maurice Korman, age 90, passed away Sunday, February 28, 2021. He was born February 19, 1931, in Colmar, France. He received his undergraduate degree in psychology and philosophy at Brooklyn College, Brooklyn, NY, in 1952 and his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Minnesota in 1957. He spent over 50 years as the chair of psychology at the UT Southwestern Medical Center beginning in 1963.
He was preceded by his loving wife, Claire, to whom he was married for 66 years. He is survived by his son David and his wife Karen, his son Ken and his wife Ellen, and his daughter Stefani; his grandchildren: Jennifer, Julia, Emily, Hannah, Joshua, and Samantha; and his great-grandchildren: Annabelle, Owen, Charlotte, James, and Violet.
