Michael Lee Pryor Sr.

Michael Lee Pryor went to be with his Heavenly Father on June 30, 2025. He was joyfully reunited with the love of his life, Jessie, his parents Maxine and Orvan, his brothers Doyle and Donnie Pryor, and countless other family members and friends.

Mike deeply loved his family and is survived by his devoted children: Michelle Dorsey and her husband David, Mike Pryor Jr. and his wife Lisa, Kelly Liles and his wife Yamire, Tommy Liles and his wife Shell, and Max Liles and his wife Patricia. He leaves behind 20 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. He is also survived by his neighbor James Crowell and many, many cherished friends.

Mike was a prominent businessman and the proud owner of MJ Auto Sales, Inc. for 46 years. He is survived by his extended family of employees: Armando Carillo, Matthew Dement, Jennifer Crowell, and Debbie Starr. Through the ups and downs of the car business, he remained calm and steadfast, often saying, “If it was easy, everyone would do it.”

He was a faithful member of Family Cathedral of Praise in Forney, Texas, for over 25 years. Mike loved the Lord with all his heart and would arrive at church an hour early each Sunday to enjoy a private concert during the praise and worship team's rehearsal.

Those who knew Mike often described him as “such a gentleman,” “one of a kind,” and “they don’t make them like that anymore.” His kindness was abundant and often anonymous, as he quietly helped those in need, never seeking praise or recognition. He preferred to fly under the radar and lived by the principle: “Never let your left hand know what your right hand is doing.”

Mike will be deeply missed, but we know we will see him again.

A visitation for Michael will be held Sunday, July 6, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Grove Hill Funeral Home, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228. A celebration of life will occur Monday, July 7, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228. A graveside service will occur Monday, July 7, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:20 PM, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228.

Serving as pallbearers are Scott Estoll, Tracy McCarroll, Max Liles Jr., TJ Liles, Kenny Griffith and James Crowell.
