Midge was born on September 2, 1928, in Dallas, Texas, and passed away on November 20, 2013. She is preceded in death by her parents Sydney and Edna Mae Williams, and her sister, Mary Lucille Posey Whittle. Midge is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, William E. “Bill” Sprowls; son Gary Sprowls and wife Mary; daughter Lynette Sprowls Lee; three grandchildren, Christi Miranda, Michele Laymon, and Jon Michael Lee, and four great-grandchildren. She was a National Honor student and graduated from W. H. Adamson High School in Dallas at the age of 16 and attended SMU on a full academic scholarship where she met and married the love of her life, a returning WWII veteran. Their marriage ceremony was at Cliff Temple Baptist Church where she is a member. Before children, Midge was a Neiman Marcus model, and worked at the Federal Reserve Bank. She and Bill loved to play bridge, round danced with the Dallas “Let’s Dancers”, and traveled the world on 25 cruises. A truly beautiful person inside and out, she was an accomplished seamstress/designer, and an amazing wife, homemaker and mother.
