

She was born in Denton, Texas on August 31, 1955, the oldest child of Veronica and Ray Reynolds. Monica and her three siblings grew up in Irving and graduated from MacArthur High School. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts in Historical Studies at the University of Texas at Dallas.
She met her husband, David Jack Rinehart, while working at BancTexas White Rock. They married on May 10, 1986. They have two children, Katie and Michael.
Monica eventually left her career in banking to be able to spend summers with her children. She became a Social Studies teacher at South Garland High School, where she worked for almost 20 years.
Monica was an avid reader and loved learning about all things historical. She enjoyed traveling, especially to UNESCO world heritage sites. She was deeply devoted to her family and faith.
She is survived by her husband, David Rinehart, her children, Katie Rinehart and Michael Rinehart, her father, Ray Reynolds, her sister, Barbara Reynolds, and her brother and his wife, David and Sabrina Reynolds. She was preceded in death by her mother, Veronica Reynolds, and her brother, Steve Reynolds.
There will be a visitation starting at 5:00pm on Thursday, February 27 at Sparkman-Crane Funeral Home (10501 Garland Road, Dallas, TX). It will conclude with a rosary at 7:00pm.
The funeral mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church (600 S. Jupiter Rd, Richardson, TX) at 1:30pm on Friday, February 28.
As Monica was passionate about her family and faith, in lieu of flowers the family asks you to consider making a donation to Beyond Cana Marriage Ministry at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
