Age 81, passed away in the early hours of January 9, 2012, in Dallas, TX, surrounded by those who loved her the most. Born May 20, 1930 in Sanger, TX, Nano continued to be a life-long resident of Dallas. She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1947 and soon after married the love of her life, James Winsor McFadden, who preceded her in death October 19, 2009, after 61 years of marriage. Nano was a loyal employee and retired from Sears payroll department after 25 years of service. Nano was an active member of the Ladies Elk Club (Dallas) and could be found there every Monday playing Bingo, rain or shine. Most recently, Nano was a world traveller and had enjoyed cruises to Hawaii, the Caribbean, Europe, and Canada with her family. Nano is survived by her son Scott McFadden and wife, Denise, daughter, Robin Stateler and husband, Doug, and four grandchildren, Amber and James McFadden, Chelsea Ramsey and Douglas Stateler, III. The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 11, 2012 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 12, 2012 at Sparkman Hillcrest, Dallas. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Robin for going above and beyond in caring for our mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and Meme. She will forever be in our hearts.
