Missionary Nell Sean Pitts

Missionary Nell Sean Pitts was born on April 15, 1949 in Dallas, Texas to the parentage of Mr. Lee and Robbie Mae Fowler. She attended N.W. Harlee Elementary School in Dallas, Texas and she graduated from Franklin D. Roosevelt High School. She was married to Newel Pitts and they shared a life together until his passing. Nell was employed by Dallas Independent School District, and she a sales consultant for Mary Kay until her passing.

Nell accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at an early age. Missionary Nell Pitts was a very faithful member of Saintsville Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Bishop J. Neaul Haynes, Prelate of Texas Northeast 1st Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction until his demise. She faithfully continued to serve under the leadership of Bishop James E. Hornsby, Prelate of Texas Northeast 1st Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction. She was a member of the Saintsville Sanctuary Choir, the Deaconess Department, the Birthday Committee for the Deaconess Department, YWCC, and the Texas Northeast 1st Ecclesiastical Jurisdictional Choir. Her favorite song was “Holy Ghost Power”. Nell remained faithful to God throughout her life, serving with dedication, humility, and love. Nell received her Missionary license on October 16, 2024 under Mother Paula J. Thompson.

Missionary Pitts was known for her kind spirit, strong faith, and willingness to help others. She was a devoted wife and Godmother to many. She loved family deeply and valued time spent with her loved ones. Nell’s life was a testimony of faith, perseverance, and grace.

God gently called her from labor to reward, and she entered eternal rest in the presence of the Lord on December 19, 2025.

Missionary Pitts was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Lee and Robbie Mae Fowler, husband, Newel Pitts, sister, Margaret Stamps and stepson, Charles Pitts.

Those left to cherish her memories: her only brother; Elijah Fowler of Dallas, Texas, niece; Trisha Rhodes of Michigan, nephews; Sheldon Roberts, Robby Fowler, and a host of other relatives and friends.
