Newell Raymond Clemons, was born May 19, 1915 in Cedartown, Georgia to Luther Clemons Sr. and Myrtle Edge Clemons, and passed away June 21, 2011 in Dallas, Texas. Mr. Clemons was a retired automobile salesman. Preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Louie A. Clemons, Johnny A. Clemons and James L. Clemons. Survived by his wife, Loretta Clemons; son, Butch Clemons; brothers, Luther Clemons Jr. and wife Gladys, and Frankie Clemons; sister, Virginia Ware and husband M.B. Ware; sister-in-law, Margie Clemons; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home. Graveside services 1:00 p.m. Friday at Roselawn Park Cemetery in Palestine, Texas. Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
