Olegaria Zuniga Paredez went home to God on December 11th at the age of ninety-one surrounded by her loving family. She was unbelievably brave and strong through her whole life. Deeply devoted to her faith, she prayed the rosary every night without fail, trusting God with the same steadiness she brought to everything she did.
She loved the Dallas Cowboys, never missing the chance to watch a game with her son-in-law Chris, always watched Dancing With The Stars with her grandson Nicholas, and painstakingly crafted her every outfit with her daughter and most loyal companion and caretaker, Celeste.
She was married to the love of her life, Nicholas Paredez, for 54 years before his passing in 2024. Ole was a caring soul who took care of everyone, especially her family, through it all and no matter what. She will be remembered, missed, and loved by her family forever.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the dialysis staff at Davita for their compassionate care; to her Bellcoa home health team—especially Elena, Arianna, and Maribel—for their kindness, patience, and guidance; Gina, her home health aide; and to Comforts of home hospice for supporting her and our family with dignity and comfort during her final days.
