Ollie Ree Lane Roberts was born June 20, 1928 in Marshall, Harrison County, Texas, to the parentage of Jim and Cora Lee Lane. To this union fourteen children were born.

She accepted Christ at an early age, was baptized and united with Center Hill Baptist Church, Marshall, Texas. She attended the Harrison County Public Schools.

She moved to Dallas, Texas where she met and was united in marriage with J. C. Roberts in 1951. They united with Mitchell Street Church of God in Christ under the pastorate of Elder E. L. Battles.

She devoted nearly three decades of service as a Food Service Dietician and later promoted to Supervisory Dietician at Baylor Medical Center Hospital in Dallas, Texas.

Her legacy carries on amongst a host of family members: three daughters, Brenda Jean Roberts (Woods) and Ollie Mae Roberts (Harrell) and Billie Jean Johnson (Hampton); along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, as well as a number of nieces, nephews and a host of beloved relatives and friends.

Ollie Ree Roberts was called peacefully to heaven’s gates on November 29, 2021.
