Oscar A. Faz, age 63, passed away on July 5, 2019 in Mesquite, TX. He was born on May 20, 1956 in Pleasanton, Tx to Abelardo Faz and Felicitas Alcoser. Oscar was raised in Poteet, Tx and attended Poteet High School in 1973.
Oscar's family were migrants and traveled to many states to work. When he was a young boy he picked crops.
He married Modesta Santos in June 3, 1978 and the couple had three children. He was a mechanic at Tx DOT where he worked for more than 17 years.
In his spare time Oscar enjoyed baseball, basketball, umpiring and watching his grandkids play football. He also loved fishing with his friends and daughters.
His family and friends will always remember him as a loving husband, father, brother, friend and co-worker who was always playing and joking around.
He is preceded in death by; his father Abelardo Faz, his mother Felicitas Alcoser, his brothers; George Faz and Santiago Faz, his niece Sarah Faz and his nephew Scott Mancha.
He is survived by; his wife Modesta S. Faz, his daughters; Anna Marie Faz, Veronica Billey and Laura Faz, his grandchildren; Geovoni Martell, Xavier Martell and David Billey Jr. his brothers; Steven Mancha, Robert Mancha, Bruno Bermudez, Fernando Faz and Miguel Faz, his sisters; Bertha Faz, Ester Faz, Rebecca Kendall, Delfina Ybarra and Anita Rodriguez, his son-in-laws; Dustin Stratton and David Billey Sr., his sister-in-laws; Maria Mancha, Trini Mancha, Beatrice Bermudez, Elena Faz, Melba Faz and Sylvia Faz, his brother-in-law Bill Kendall and numerous nieces and nephews.
Loved by many and missed by all who knew him.
He is now in peace with his loved ones.
