Pamela graduated from Bryan Adams High School in 1965 and attended Stephen F. Austin State University earning her Bachelor of Arts in Education degree in 1969. In 1970, she began her calling in life, to be a teacher, which she would dedicate her life to for over forty years; with thirty being in the classroom. Her illustrious teaching career spanned a length of time and distance as big as her heart. Taking her from schools located in Texas City and Beeville to North Central Texas teaching at Garland High School, Plano East Senior High and working at John Paul II Catholic School. She obtained her Masters of Education from Stephen F. Austin, while teaching at Garland High school.
Pamela is survived by her husband of over 50 years, Lonnie “Dan” Chaney and their four children: Erin Denise White and husband Donnie Ray White, Martha Chaney Siskron, Gregory Dan Chaney and wife Judy Morrison Chaney, and Mary Chaney Gregory and husband Jonathan Lynn Gregory; Six grandchildren; 3 brothers Paul, James, and Patrick Fletcher, 2 sisters Evelyn and Martha, 3 sisters-in-law and 3 brothers-in-law; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
