born on August 26, 1947, in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, to
James and Martha Mullins. The Mullins family soon moved
to Alaska, where they added three more children and raised
their family amid the rugged beauty and vast wilderness of
the Last Frontier. Patricia attended Homer High School
before continuing her education at Kinman Business
University in Spokane, Washington, during the 1960s.
Always curious and compassionate, she later joined the
United States Air Force in 1968, serving honorably as a
dental assistant and X-ray technician.
Her Love Story:
While serving in the Air Force, Patricia met the greatest love
of her life, Roy Dale Grady, at Sheppard Air Force Base in
Texas. Their connection was instant—built on laughter,
kindness, and shared dreams. The two were married on
May 3, 1969, and began their life together filled with love,
faith, and deep devotion to each other.
Career and Community:
Patricia dedicated many years to serving her community
as a Mammographer and X-ray Technician at Murfreesboro
Medical Clinic, where she cared deeply for her patients and
formed lasting friendships with her colleagues. She was also
an active member of World Outreach Church, where her
quiet faith and kind spirit touched many lives.
The Heart of Who She Was:
Everyone who knew Patricia knew how much she loved
laughter, good conversation, and time with family. She had a
way of making others feel seen and loved—often with a
witty remark, a knowing smile, or a gentle touch on the
hand. She will always be remembered for her joyful spirit,
her fierce love for her family, and her ability to find light
even in life’s most difficult moments.
Even as she courageously faced the challenges of
Alzheimer’s over the past 15 years, Patricia continued to
bring joy through her bright smile and her funny,
lighthearted personality—offering laughter and warmth to
those around her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all
who loved her.
A private service for her daughters will be held at Laurel
Land Funeral and Memorial Park on Tuesday, November 11,
2025, at 2:00 p.m. There will be a live zoom link for family
and friends to view her service.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in her
name to the Alzheimer’s Association or her church, World
Outreach Church in Murfreesboro, TN.
