Pearlie Mae Jackson peacefully transitioned to eternal rest on October 21, 2015. Pearlie Mae was born July 4, 1931, in Karnack, Texas. She moved to Dallas at an early age and attended Lincoln High School. Pearlie Mae was united in holy matrimony to O.C. Jackson, Sr. on April 23, 1952. To that union seven children were born, four girls and three boys. She was a member of St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church and later moved her membership to Carver Height Baptist Church and will be greatly missed by missed many friends and neighbors. Pearlie Mae was employed by the Southland Corp for over 25 years, retiring in 1988. Pearlie Mae had a kind, generous and humorous spirit. She leaves a legacy of loyalty and undying devotion to family. Her life was a testament of her love of God and she taught her family to have faith and fun. She loved to play games, listen to music and dance. She taught us to be responsible, respectful and obedient. Her life guides to us were: “So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.” Matt. 7:12, “Kill ‘em with kindness” and “If you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all”. She was a joy! Pearlie Mae was preceded in death by her father Preston Jones, mother Lucille Jones-Smith, two brothers A.D and Eugene, sister, Maxine and daughter Vinita. Pearlie Mae leaves to cherish her memories: Husband O.C.; children Brenda J, O.C. Jr. (Sherry M.), Rosalind E., Renee, Frederick G. Marcus D. (Sherdon L.), god-daughter Vicki A.; grandchildren, Kirsten J., Morgan P., Taylor A., Kamron D., Marcus D.; great-granddaughter, Maleina L.; sisters, Valerie Hagerty (Terry), Angela Rider (Wilfred), Gwendolyn Jackson (Lloyd), Stanley “Mickey” Jones (Peggy), David L.
