Peggy Jean Christopher, age 81, passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 27, 2015 in Dallas, Texas, after a long illness. Peggy was born May 6, 1933, in Booneville, Arkansas to Ted and Opal Stanford, who preceded her in death. She graduated from Booneville High School in 1951 and moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she met and married the love of her life, Bob Christopher. They were married for 60 years until Peggy's passing. Peggy was a homemaker who occasionally modelled at the Dallas Trade Center. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and was active in Highland Park Presbyterian Church. Peggy loved her family and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a champion speller who loved books, music, shopping and renovating and decorating homes. She had a delightful sense of humor and could light up a room. Peggy is survived by her husband, Bob; son, Vance and daughter-in-law, Tracy; grandchildren, Sarah Foley and husband Chris, Julia George and husband Aaron and Jeff; and great-granddaughter, Claire. In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her brothers, Doc and Teddy Wayne. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 1, with a reception to follow in the Chapel at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home.
