Percy Jones

Percy Jones Sunrise 7/26/1938 Sunset 5/28/2014 Percy was born July 26, 1938 to the parentage of the late Jim Jones and Pearl Albritton Jones. He was raised in Marshall, Texas and attended Marshall Public Schools. Percy relocated to Wichita, Kansas were he resided for approximately 40 years. He recently returned to Texas in the fall of 2013 to be close to his family. Percy was united in marriage to Thelma Durham in 1961, and to this union three children were born. Percy worked for many years with hospitals in Wichita, KS area and was a retired laborer at the time of his death. Percy turned his life over to Christ in his later years and he remained a devoted Christian until his passing. After a short illness, the angel of eternity came for Mr. Percy Jones on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at the Mesquite Specialty Hospital in Mesquite, TX. He leaves to cherish three children: Boris E. Jones of Marshall, TX, Norman E. Jones of Longview, TX and Sonia Jones Webster (Lue) of Sachse, TX. Percy was blessed to have two grandchildren to carry on his memories: Jason Jones and Jasmine Jones, both of Marshall, TX. Percy’s memories will continue to carry on thru his extended family: LaShonda White, Brooklynn Williams, Maurice and Paxton Jones. Eleven siblings preceded Percy in death. He leaves to cherish two siblings: Sister – Vera Louise Johnson, Ft. Worth, TX and Brother – Clarence Jones, Houston, TX, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
