Was born February 13,1915 in Murchison, Texas. She passed away peacefully at the age of 97 on Wednesday, March 21, 2012. Graveside services will be held at Grove Hill Cemetery on Sunday, March 25, 2012 at 2 p.m. Visitation will also be Sunday 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Rachel was a long time member of Ross Avenue Baptist Church and enjoyed going to church every Sunday. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Hallie Dewberry, her husband, Harry Noble Britton, Sr., her sons, Harry Noble Britton, Jr. and John Larry Britton, as well as, three sisters and one brother. She is survived by two sisters, Nettie B. Sutton and Mary Frances Sharp, her daughter-in-law, Pat Britton and six grandchildren, Hara Britton Priddy, Alisa Britton Habenicht, Courtney Britton Lampis, Amber Britton Etchieson, John Britton and Chad Britton. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
