Raymond Lloyd Norbury Jr.

On February 28th at 3:03 a.m.. Raymond Lloyd Norbury, Jr. died in his home in Duncanville, Texas from long battle with cancer. Of his pre-deceased are his father, Raymond L. Norbury Sr., his mother Anna Mary (Sayers) Norbury, he was born on February 25, 1944 in Fall River, Massachusetts until moved with his parents to Dallas, TX in 1963. He leaves many close step-relatives and dear friends all off Dallas area as Benito(Benny) Cavazos, Jr and wife Xochilt., Wendy A. (Cavazos) Melendez, Carlos Melendez and their children Rene, Luca, Sofia, Bernece Ron, Willie Ron, their children Vincent and Noel, Ramon Cruz Jr., Christian Cruz, Anastasia and Ivan Cantu and their children Elizabeth and Isabella. Many friends as John and Mary Baker of Red Oak, John and Alice Gunn of Swansea, Massachusetts, Mark Caputo of Lewisville, Tx and as numerous from his workplace of 58 years being with Cary Products Company, Inc. of Hutchins, TX includes pre-deceased A.P. Cary, wife Bess (Norbury) Cary. Current management, Earl V. Armstrong IV, GM, Dallas with Earl V. Armstrong III, CEO-President and Stephanie A. Armstrong, VP of Santa Barbara, CA. Others are John Harris, Dallas and Jeff Sahebi, Richardson.

From his hometown Somerset High School, Ray went on to Wentworth Institute Of Technology, Boston after graduating in Mechanical Technology-Design Option in 1963 and later received a honorary bachelor degree of technology. From there he entered Southern Methodist University, Dallas to received his BSME degree in 1968. After graduating he join his uncle and aunt, Arthur and Bess Cary into their plastic injection molding business. He rose up through different positions of the company to become president from 1991 to 1999. He remain with the company as vice president, secretary and as consultant. During his time within the engineering team he was awarded nine design patents and as inventor & as co-inventor from the USP&TM Department pertaining to the company’s proprietary plastic louver products.
