Born July 18, 1922 in Jewett, Texas and raised in Malakoff, Texas. Our beloved matriarch was surrounded by family when she went to be with the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on May 6, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benigno Contreras and son, Alfredo Saldana Contreras. She is survived by, her sons Benigno Saldana Contreras and Richard Saldana Contreras; grandchildren, Tiffany, Jay Aaron, Adam, Shelly Dawn, Lillian Elaine, Anthony Joseph, Catherine Elizabeth, Marie Louise, eight great grand childen and an abundant amount of family and friends. She raised her special needs child at home and was an inspiration to many other families. Her home was always open to her family and those in need. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. We will always remember her funny stories and beautiful advice..
