Richard Espino, 73, of Dallas, TX, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2025. Born in Dallas to Presiliano and Mary Ramirez Espino, Richard grew up surrounded by family, community, and deep Texas roots. He graduated from Sunset High School.
Richard was a man full of music and team spirit. He found joy in DJing Tejano music—bringing people together through laughter, dancing, and celebration. And on Sundays, there was no bigger Cowboys fan to be found. He cheered passionately every season, win or lose.
Above all else, Richard loved his family. He was a proud father to Melinda and Anthony, and a kind father-in-law to Leslie. He cherished his grandchildren—Juliana, Benny, Roman, Joseph, and Samantha—and was blessed to know his great-grandchild, Aliyah. His love also extends to his sisters, Cirela Peña, Diane Galvez, and Adela Gonzalez, along with many nieces and nephews who valued him dearly.
He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Presiliano and Mary, who now welcome him home.
Richard’s warm smile, generous heart, and joyful presence will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate to know him.
“Do not let your hearts be troubled.
You believe in God; believe also in me.
My Father’s house has many rooms…
I am going there to prepare a place for you…
so that you also may be where I am.”
— John 14:1–3
