Robert Diffee

Robert Bruce Diffee, 82, passed away Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Golden Acres Rehabilitation Care Center, Garland, Texas. Robert was born May 22, 1936, to Wadie and Doreen (Cunningham) Diffee in Oklahoma. He was the oldest child with one sister, Louise. He graduated from Dumas Senior High School in 1954. He married Barbara Gayle Bishop in 1956. And the couple had two children, Donna Desko and Robert Carl Diffee.

In 1956 Robert began a career in the automotive industry, where he managed four Midas Muffler Shops, transferring to Dumas, Texas. He then was ordained into the Baptist Bible Ministry as a Pastor in 1962. He moved to Springfield, MO. to attend Baptist Bible College. He graduated with a BA in Theology in 1965. He also earned a Doctor of Philosophy in 1976. He ministered for 25 years until his retirement. When Robert retired in 1988, he moved to Dallas, Texas. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Robert is survived by his daughter, Donna (Diffee) Desko; son-in-law David Desko; Daughter-in-Law Leticia Diffee: grandchildren, Jonathan Nathaniel Tharp, (his wife Tiffany Tharp) and Rachael Victoria Diffee. Great Grand Children Breonna and Sophie Rose Tharp. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Barbara Gayle Diffee and his son, Robert Carl Diffee.

His members of many churches he pastored, have very fond memories of him.

I will miss his hearty laugh and corny jokes. He always worked so hard to support us when growing up. I will be forever grateful.

Heaven has gained another angel.
