

Bobby grew up in Marshall, Texas, amid the East Texas pines and a short drive from Caddo Lake, where he fished and water-skied. Later, after moving to Dallas, he became the ultimate city dweller. He loved shopping at the Dallas Farmer's Market and at Central Market. He loved fine food, especially Campisi's The Egyptian, Texas Longhorn football, a competitive game of bridge, the music of Tony Bennett and Johnny Cash, solving Sudoku puzzles and watching Wheel of Fortune.
Bobby died April 9, 2012, after a short illness. He was 72.
Bobby was born Dec. 5, 1939, in Marshall to William John Mike and Edna Abraham Mike who operated the iconic family-owned Mike's Market. Bobby graduated from Marshall High School in 1958 and afterwards attended the University of Texas at Austin where he joined the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in accounting in 1962. Upon graduation, Bobby joined the Air Force.
After his military service Mike moved to Dallas in 1965 where he began his accounting career. He was a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants and at the time of his death was a practicing CPA with Philip Vogel & Company in Dallas.
Bobby was a lifelong Presbyterian and a faithful member of Park Cities Presbyterian Church.
In addition to his parents, Bobby is predeceased by his paternal grandparents Isaac and Mary Mike and maternal grandparents Charlie and Helena Abraham, who immigrated from Lebanon; nephew Kenneth Cameron; precious aunt Rosa Mike; uncle George Mike; cousin George Jewell; uncle and aunt Ed and Doris Abraham; and uncles Albert Abraham and Tony Haddad.
Bobby is survived by his sister Princess Mike Cameron and brother-in-law W. Fred Cameron; sister Linda Kay Mike; great-niece Kyrie Cameron and her mother, Jan Cameron; nephew Kirk Robert Cameron and wife, Jeanette; nephew Keith Cameron and wife, Michelle; great-nephew and great-niece Kaeden and Kiera Cameron; great-nieces Sutton and Sloane Cameron; aunts Joy Haddad and Adrah Abraham; and Abraham and Haddad cousins of Marshall and El Paso, Texas.
Bobby's family would like to thank dear friends Dr. Zelig and his wife Marilyn Lieberman, and also Dr. Stuart Owen, Dr. Charles Richardson and Dr. Robert Black. Special thanks go to the amazing nurses of Baylor Hospital Roberts CCU third floor north and the clergy and visitors from Park Cities Presbyterian Church.
Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 W. Northwest Highway in Dallas. The funeral service is 1 p.m. Thursday at Park Cities Presbyterian Church Chapel, 4124 Oak Lawn Ave. in Dallas. The service will be officiated by Pastor Ron Williams. Interment is in Marshall on Saturday.
