

Robert J. Wylie, 69, of Dallas died on May 29, 2012 in a local Dallas hospital surrounded by his family. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all that knew and loved him.
He was born on March 1, 1943 in Wooster, Ohio to the late Judson and Margaret Elder Wylie. He graduated from Northwestern High School in 1961 in Wooster, Ohio and later he earned an accounting degree from the University of North Texas. He served his country proudly in the US Army in Vietnam from 1964 to 1969 as an officer attaining the rank of Captain with the Heavy Artillery Division. He was awarded the Bronze Star for bravery.
Robert and his wife worked together as accountants for over 25 years. He loved watching his kid play soccer from grade school through college. Other hobbies included camping and hiking and especially taking his grandkids on camping trips in the motorhome. Robert never met a stranger and will be much missed.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years Mary Bob Wilson Wylie of Dallas; a daughter Stefani A Crowley and her husband Mike; a son Robert Burch Wylie; grandchildren Madison M. Wylie and Emerson Burch Wylie; brothers David E. Wylie, Richard A Wylie and Jeffrey J. Wylie; sisters Patricia E. Caine and Susan M Sauder. He was preceded in death by a sister Nancy L Norman.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 pm on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 W. Northwest Highway, Dallas, TX. A Graveside Service will be on Sunday, June 3, 2012 at 11:00 am in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, SH 11, Wolfe City, Texas with Rev. Michael Coulter officiating.
