Ronnie attended Dallas schools from elementary to high school. He graduated from Adamson High School in 1958. Ronnie had the unique opportunity to remain friends with many of the graduates of Adamson throughout life and played golf on a regular basis with his “Adamsom Group” until his illness took him out if the game. He played baseball in college, and loved all sports. He was an avid fan of Longhorn ball games, Rangers, and the Cowboys.
Ronnie was a teacher, coach, Athletic Director and Principal for over 40 years at Dallas ISD. He was loved and respected by all who knew him. Many of his students went onto play ball in college and some even played pro ball. Teachers loved and respected him. When he was sent to a school, the teachers knew things would be under control. Teachers would teach and students would learn.
For the last 25years of his life, he spent each day with “the love of his Life.” Ronnie and Prissy had a unique relationship. They fit like a glove. Through this wonderful time in his life he had a sweet little girl in is life almost every day. Charlene brought a smile and joy that unsurpassed all things. He taught her to ride a tractor, experience a slurpy after school every day, and played games until the wee hours of the night.
Ronnie was loved by everyone. The world lost a great man. Many lost a great friend, but God gained an angel. Heaven is improved by his presence.
Come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
