

Roy Lee Clayton was born on April 6, 1945 in Kerens, TX , to the mother of Lena Martin. He received some education in Kerens, TX, but later moved to Dallas, TX where he graduated from Brooker T Washington in 1964.
September 1964-1968 he served in the military.
After the military, he met his loving wife, Melinda Phillps. They were married on August 17, 1973, where this loving marriage held for 52 years until his death. To this union two children were born Javier D’Juan Clayton (deceased) and Sharmaine Nicolette Clayton.
His place of employment was held at Dallas Bias Fabrics for 36 years.
He was an incredible husband, a great father, and an outstanding grandfather. He was respected and loved by so many people. He was not a man of many words, but his actions spoke louder than words.
Those preceded him in death: Javier D’Juan Clayton (son), Lena Martin (mother), Noble Martin (brother) Octivia Phillips (mother in-law)
Those left to cherish the memories of Roy Lee Clayton and his legacy are Melinda Clayton (wife), Sharmaine Clayton (daughter), Aidan James (grandson), Job Bob Martin (brother) and a host family and friends.
