Roy Lee Ramsey Jr.

Born on April 28,1953 at St. Paul Hospital in Dallas, Tx. and passed away on January 25, 2020 in Plano, Tx. He was a 1971 graduate of David W. Carter High School and a member of the R.O.T.C. Company C

After graduation he joined the Army where he served for 6 years. He was stationed in Germany and stateside. He worked for G.T.E. and retired with Verizon after 30 years of service.

He loved animals especially his wolves he had for pets, Tundra and B.G. His hobbies included working puzzles of all kinds and computer games.

He was preceded in death by his brother, John Ramsey , sister, Dana McGowan, brother in-law Mack McGowan, mother, Rosie Eberle, nephew, Stacy McGowan and father, Roy Lee Ramsey Sr.

He is survived by his sister, Brenda Sherrell and her husband, Rick nephew, Jason Sherrell and his wife, Megan w/ little Harper niece, Jennifer Kam and her husband, Davey w/ little Brynlee & Vivienne Also his niece, Traci McRae and her husband Michael as well as many wonderful cousins.

Special Thank-you to his caregivers Lasonia, Mamou and Magdalena who treated him like family and he loved them very much.

Graveside Services will be Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 2pm at Laurel Land Memorial Park

His cousins will serve as pallbearers and Michael Scott Ramsey will speak at his service.
