Ruby Smolinsky, 96, of Dallas, Texas, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2025 (10 Cheshvan 5786) in Plano, Texas. Ruby was born on April 10, 1929, to George and Jeanette Kaufmann in Chicago, Illinois. She was a vibrant presence in her community.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Herbie Smolinsky. Ruby was one of the founders of the synagogue Beth Judea in Long Grove, Illinois, for which her husband, Herbie, served as the second president. She is survived by her daughters, Carol Smolinsky and Diane Smolinsky; her son, Lawrence Smolinsky, and his wife, Susan. May her memory be a blessing.
