Russell Steven Dam

Russell was born in Newark, NJ, on July 6th, 1963, to James and Alice Dam.

Russell was previously married to Rosa Maria Navarro, on August 4, 2004. They had one son together, Richard Samuel Dam.

Russell worked as an electrical and mechanical technician for Signal Metal Industries for over 20 years.

Russell enjoyed gardening, karaoke, and his electric guitars. He was actively involved in nurturing and sharing his Christian faith, and bettering his community through his generosity and self-giving spirit.

Russell is preceded in death by his mother Alice Mae Helms Dam, his great nephew Landon William Hutson, his nephew Matthew Arbaugh, and his brother-in-law Francis Arvil Higdon.

Russell is survived by his ex-wife Rosa Maria Navarro and his only child Richard Samuel Dam, his father James Joseph Dam I, his sister Barbara Ann Higdon, his brother James Joseph Dam II, his sister Donna Jean Elworth and her husband Garrett, his sister Mary Ellen Newsom and her husband David , his sister Diana Lee Arbaugh, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Russell has been cremated and inurned at Calvary Hill Cemetery in the plot of his parents James and Alice Dam on June 1st, 2026.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Russell’s memory may be made to EWTN, Global Catholic Television Network, www.ewtn.com, a favorite charity of his mother’s.
