Born in Dallas, TX to Jesusa Acosta on October 11, 1935. She enjoyed working as a scrub nurse, and later as a home health aid, for many years and was an active member of First Baptist Church of Duncanville. She married Fred V. Estrada on March 7, 1983 in Dallas, TX.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Fred V. Estrada, her son Alfred Rene Estrada, her mother Jesusa Acosta, her sisters Mancho Lozano and Manuela Diaz, her brothers Joe Acosta and Edward Acosta, her grandsons Mario Estrada and Jacob Lugo; as well as other dear loved ones.
Ruth is survived by her daughters Deborah Lopez, Diane Rodriguez, Ruth Ann Estrada Reina, Vanessa Mayfield and their spouses Mike Lopez Jr., Amado Rodriguez and Ben Mayfield, her children by marriage Fred N. Estrada, Carmen Gonzalez, Diana Estrada, Rosita Deleon, Marie Estrada, Dolores Billings, Edward Estrada, Robert Estrada, Sofia Estrada and Lica White, her sisters Blondie Lopez, Came Hernandez and PeeWee Cordova, her grandchildren Denise Salazar, Mike Lopez III, Marcus Lopez, Audrey Mayfield, Holden Mayfield, Jennifer Lugo, Aaron Lugo, Rebecca McGar, Chris Bieniecki, Lucia Chaidez, Diana Reina and Juan Andres Reina as well as many beloved great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4-6 pm followed by a Celebration of Life service at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Calvary Hill Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will be at 10:00 am Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Calvary Hill Funeral Chapel with interment to follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery.
