Ruth K. Robison

She is preceded in death by Charley Robison, her husband of 56 years. She is survived by her two sons Charles A. Robison, Jr. and wife Jan, Archa D. Robison and wife Sherry; grandchildren Chris Robison, Nikki Cuban, Brian Robison, and Robbie Robison; five grandchildren, Avery, Anika, Gracie, Ella, and Gavin; brother Clifton Evans of Leonard, Texas; and many nephews and nieces.

Ruth joined Bethany Baptist Church in Pleasant Grove in 1954, and four years later began her nearly 50 year career as Church Secretary and Treasurer. She served with more than ten pastors during that period, always easing their transition to a new church. She sang in the choir and was an active volunteer and leader of the church library, which was later named The Ruth Robison Library in her honor.

The family thanks the caregivers at Brookdale Senior Living in Plano, who were so helpful in her last years.

Visitation, Monday, May 4th from 6:30 to 8:30 P.M., and services, Tuesday, May 5th at 2 P.M., will be at Grove Hill Chapel and conclude at Grove Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bethany Baptist Church, 7300 Bruton Road, Dallas, TX 75217.
