

Texas and died July 1, 2011 in Dallas. Sam was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII,
who had a passion for the open road and loved seeing new places as well as his
old favorites. A vibrant and active person, he enjoyed meeting and talking to
people. Sam was preceded in death in 1997 by his first wife, the former Alta
Grace Bridgewater and remarried in 2000 to Edith Ralston. He is survived by
wife, Edith; daughters, Darva Dagate and Dana Dagate; son-in-law, Vincent
Tracy; granddaughter, Lauren Tracy; nephew, Michael Dagate; step-children,
Suzette Simpson, Clint Ralston, Anita Sioco and Terry Hardy and by 10 step-
grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 4:00 PM Sunday, July 10, 2011 with a Rosary
at 5:00 PM at the funeral home.
The Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 AM on Monday,
July 11, 2011 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3030 Gus Thomasson Road, Dallas, Texas . with Rev.
Michael Guadagnoli, celebrant.
Interment to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in
Rowlett, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Sam’s name to the American Cancer
Society would be appreciated.
