Sammie Jean (Brewster) Moore was born on February 21, 1942 in Belton, Texas, to Forest Bedford Brewster and Dove Trilbie Chambers. She was the youngest of five children. Sammie and her siblings grew up and around Belton, where she became highly talented at being a seamstress. She graduated from Belton High School, Class of 1960. She attended beautician school and became a wonderful hairdresser. She was an excellent crafter and loved home decorating. Her favorite movie was “To Kill a Mockingbird.”
Sammie married her high school sweetheart, Paul Fletcher Moore, Jr. on May 6, 1961, and together they raised their son, Kevin Moore. They were married over 55 years until his passing in January of this year. They are now together again.
On Wednesday, August 3, 2016, our mighty God, so merciful, called Sammie home. She has gone to her reward in Heaven, free of pain and suffering. She was greeted in Heaven by her parents, Forest and Dove; her siblings: Pauline Patronelli, Ray Brewster, Iva Williams, and her loving husband, Paul and their sweet girl, Princess.
Her life will continue to be remembered and honored by her son, Kevin Ray Moore of Euless; her sister Nora Ann (Brewster) Gerdes and her husband Dennis of Marrietta, GA; her family in faith of Church of Christ, cousins and close friends. Her kindness and sweet demeanor will be missed tremendously.
In honor of Sammie's final wishes, there will not be a memorial, as she would like you to remember her as she was.
In lieu of flowers, the Moore family would like you to consider making a donation to the charity of your choice in Sammie's name.
