Sandra Self passed away at the age of 77 on May 20, 2023 in California after being hospitalized with heart issues. Sandra was known to many as Sandy. She was born in 1945 in Dallas Texas, the second child of 5 girls and lived in Irving, TX most of her life. She had recently moved to Lake Arrowhead, CA into a house with 5 other ladies, it reminded you of the Golden Girls. Her roommates were wonderful, Sandy spoke highly of them and they did her as well.
She enjoyed spending time with her sisters, family, and friends, as well as reading and drawing. Sandy had a great sense of humor, as shown in this picture of her hamming it up doing her best "damsel in distress" pose. Many have expressed their love and friendship for her. Her heart was huge, and she was always willing to help someone if she was able.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Murrell & Audrey Yarbrough and her sister Jan Yarbrough. She is survived by her three sisters, Sallie, Sue, & Jean, one son, three grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. She will be sorely missed.
