

Sharon Marie Gilman Dudek, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, born October 16, 1944, passed away on January 2, 2012. Born and raised in Dallas, Shari graduated from St. Monica Catholic School and Ursuline Academy of Dallas, and later spent time with her young family in London and New York before settling in Dallas.
She received her B.S. in Occupational Therapy from Texas Women's University. At the time of her retirement, she was director of physical medicine at Visiting Nurse Association of Dallas.
Shari was preceded in death by her parents James Howard Gilman, Sr. and Margaret Cecilia Morley Gilman, and daughter Suzanne Dudek. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Robert E. Dudek, Sr.; her sons with Edward Scott Werth, Scott Werth and Chris Werth; son Robert E. Dudek, Jr., and daughter Virginia Dudek; also, daughters-in-law Sissy Werth, Holly Werth and Sharon Dudek. She is also survived by sisters Cynthia Dasho and Deborah Herd; brother James Howard "Gil" Gilman; brothers-in-law Len Dasho and Randy Herd; sister-in-law, LeeAnn Gilman; grandchildren, Chloe Werth, Nicholas Werth, Connor Werth, Sophie Werth, Robert E. Dudek, III, Mitchell Dudek, and Alyssa Dudek; numerous nieces and nephews; other family and many friends, all who loved her and will miss her dearly.
She enjoyed art, painting, and crafts, and shared a love of bird watching with her husband, sisters, and brothers-in-law. Her grandchildren were a great source of joy and fun. Her faith was very important, and Shari’s dedication to her family will always be remembered.
Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 04, 2012 at Calvary Hill Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 5, 2012 at the North Chapel of Calvary Hill Mausoleum. Interment to follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Scott Werth, Chris Werth, Robert Dudek, Jr., Nick Werth, Connor Werth and Len Dasho.
