Socorro Z. Contreras 72, passed away March 9, 2013 in Dallas, TX. Socorro was born May 13, 1940 in Matamoros, Mexico to Leovijildo Zendejas and Maria Navejar. Socorro was a hard worker who will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Marissa Keene. She is survived by her husband, Ricardo Contreras; daughters, Patricia Ewing, Dolores Sanchez and Martha Keene; son, Richard Contreras; grandchildren, Ian and Kate Ewing, Victoria and Sabrina Sanchez and Emily and Olivia Keene; brother, Polo Zendejas; sisters, Rosa Guerrero, Jela Smith, Paula Cervantes, Cata Smith and Cheli Trevino; numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Calvary Hill Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Calvary Hill North Mausoleum Chapel. Interment to follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery in Dallas, TX.
