Stephen Philip Jenkins, passed away on February 1st, 2011 at the age of 68. Steve was born September 13, 1942 in Borger Texas to Phil and Marguerite Jenkins. He graduated valedictorian of his class from Stinnett High School and attended Texas Tech University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters degree in Business Administration. Steve enjoyed a successful 36 year career with IBM.He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Valerie, their daughter Andrea Baskin and her husband Joel, sister Kathy Smith and her husband Cliff, niece Lisa Spencer and her husband Mike, nephew Christopher Smith and his wife Andrea, brother-in-law Jerry Edwards and wife Pat and their four children, Terry Edwards, Susie Hunter, Michelle Henson and Heather Goad and their spouses, and his beloved Maine Coon, Neeko. Steve was an avid reader and he also enjoyed skiing in Colorado, sailing and spending time with friends and family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Sparkman/Hillcrest. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Sparkman/Hillcrest Northwest Hwy. Chapel. Entombment to follow at Hillcrest Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or Operation Kindness.
