

Stephen Tamayo Tovar passed away on July 8, 2017 at his home in Dallas, Texas at the age of 90. He was born on November 28, 1926 in Dallas and graduated from Crozier Tech high school, and was a proud veteran serving in the U.S. Army (WWII) and was awarded World War II Victory Medal and served in the Navy Reserve during the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life, wife of 68 years, Gloria; survived by his children: Stephen Jr., Linda Ann, Gloria J. Tovar and Mary Sandoval; grandsons Nicholas and Terence Sandoval and great grandson Asher Ezekiel Sandoval. His brother Ralph Tovar, his sisters Rosie Mazurieta, Carmen Guerra, Rebecca Espinoza, Consuelo Rodriguez, Micaela Espinoza, MCP and Margarita Luna. He is also preceded in death by his siblings Julian, Rudy Tovar and Teresa Vasquez. We can hardly leave out his loved and faithful pets Bella and Pudge.
Stephen's family will be holding a visitation for him at Calvary Hill Funeral Home Chapel, 3235 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, Texas, 75220, on Wednesday, July 12, 2017, from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm. A rosary will be celebrated at 7:00 pm that evening at the Chapel.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 13, 2017, at the Calvary Hill Mausoleum Chapel, 3235 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, Texas, 75220, beginning at 10:00 am with Committal following at the Calvary Hill Cemetery.
