Stevan was raised in Dallas, Texas and attended Crozier Tech High School. He married Dora C. Leija and the couple had Two Children.
He worked for the United States Postal Service at Inwood Station for more than 40 years. In his spare time, Stevan enjoyed listening to oldies and Tejano music, watching TV, Dallas Cowboys games and spending time with his granddaughters.
He is preceded in death by: his wife Dora, parents, Stevan and Beatriz Leija, sisters, Jessie Barrientos and Oralia Leija.
Stevan is survived by: His brother Apolinar L Leija Sr., son, Stevan Leija III, daughter, Gregoria Leijia Mendez, six granddaughters, Brianna Leija, Ana Beatriz Mendez, Alyssa E. Mendez, Samantha Rae Mendez, Nicole Robles and Ana Marie Leija. Several nieces, nephews, god children and cousins.
