He was raised in Oak Cliff and attended Sunset High School. Steven was known to his family and friends as Stinkey. Beyond his rough exterior Stinkey was a kind and gentle soul. Stinkey was known to randomly call and text family and friends just to say, “I love you.” He would often end his calls and texts with “I love you; God loves you and there’s nothing you can do about it.” Stinkey was very sensitive, and he loved so many people, but his mama and dad always held an extra special place in his heart.
