

Stratton John Georgoulis passed away peacefully on September 27 in Overland Park, Kansas, in the company of loved ones. Strat was born in Peabody, MA, the son of Greek immigrants. He was the first in his family to earn a college degree, in Chemical Engineering, from Northeastern University in Boston. He moved to Dallas in 1958 to work for Texas Instruments where he quickly gained recognition as a talented manager. At TI, he met the love of his life, soulmate and wife of 40 years, Ann Lyday. While raising a family with Ann, he eventually built his own successful business in the manufacturing and transportation industries.
Strat was awarded an honorary doctorate degree from Northeastern University in 1996. He was a valued and trusted mentor to family members, friends and colleagues. Strat loved aviation, sailing, music and the arts and was known for his dry and irreverent sense of humor. He was a dedicated and loving family man and was especially fond of his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by parents John and Despina Georgoulis, wife Elizabeth Ann Georgoulis, son Stephen Stratton Georgoulis, and sister Caliope Asher. Survivors include son John Stratton Georgoulis and wife Cheryl; daughter Elizabeth Despina Georgoulis; grandchildren Stratton John Georgoulis, Sarah Ann Winslow, Paul Henry Georgoulis, Martha Joan Winslow, Charles Ross Winslow, and Steven Stratton Winslow; brother Charles Georgoulis and wife Linda; numerous nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 7, 2017, at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church, 8500 Douglas Ave., Dallas, TX 75225. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, October 6, 2017, at Sparkman/Hillcrest, 7405 W. Northwest Hwy. Dallas, TX.
