Teodulo was born February 17, 1919 in Pflugerville, Texas and passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on February 1 at the age of 92.
Preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Susie Rodriguez Cantu; parents, Estanislao Cantu and Anita Castro; son, Teodulo Cantu Jr.; sisters, Filomena Rincon and Juanita Williams; brothers, Frank Cantu Sr., Pilar Cantu and Hilario Hernandez. Ted is survived by daughters, JoAnn Cantu Valentin and Gloria S. Cantu; and son, Robert L. Cantu and daughter-in-law Lisa Cantu; 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
Ted was a sergeant in the Army Air Corps and a veteran of WWII; and a retired supervisor of 35 years at GAF Corporation. He was a 44-year member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, and a member of the International Order of Alhambra, Dar al Ruse No. 209.
The family would like to thank the Bethlemite Sisters at St. Joseph’s Residence in Dallas for their devotion and care of our father these last three years, and Autumn Journey Hospice for their excellent care during his final days.
Visitation will be held from 6 pm to 8 pm on Monday, February 6 at Calvary Hill Funeral Home and a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm. The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, February 7 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 6306 Kenwood Ave., Dallas, TX 75214. Fr. John Libone will officiate and interment will follow at Calvary Hill Mausoleum, 3235 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, TX 75220. Memorial Donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
