After graduating from high school, Theresa moved to Omaha, Nebraska where she obtained her degree in Nursing at Creighton University.
It was during her time in Omaha that she met Eugene Devlin and eventually married. After marriage and living in Sioux City, Iowa she gave birth to her son, Michael Devlin and a daughter, Sharryn Harris.
Being the wife of a military man, she was given the opportunity to travel and live in multiple cities in the U. S. and overseas. Eventually she moved to Desoto, Texas where she and Eugene laid roots on their retirement home.
Throughout her life she was a devout believer in the Lord and after moving to Desoto she sought out a CHURCH home.
After visiting several churches in the Dallas area she chose to become a member of Friendship West Missionary Baptist Church.
