

Tom died peacefully on the morning of May 20, 2011 surrounded by family following months of medical complications. Tom was born March 20, 1937 in Pickton, TX to Charles and Dovie Livingston as the youngest of 7 children. He graduated from Como High School in 1955. Tom then served his country in the Navy from 1958 to 1962. He was a faithful employee to TX Instruments for 30 years before retiring in 1990. He then went on to work for Dallas County until 2000. “Big Tom” was the patriarch of the Livingston family. He had many friends and was a stranger to no one. His passion was his family, first and foremost. He touched the lives of numerous young men while coaching Peewee Football and Pony Youth Baseball in Mesquite for more than a decade. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten. He is now at peace with his Heavenly Father. Tom is survived by his wife of 48 years, Shirley; daughters, Cindy McDonnold and husband Steve, and Linda Roberts and husband Bill; son, Tommy Livingston and wife Valerie; sisters, Lucille Gallaway and Betty Flora and husband Maurice; 6 grandsons; 2 great-granddaughters; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, with recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 PM, Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at Sparkman/Crane Funeral Home in Dallas. The Funeral Mass will be 10:00 AM, Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3030 Gus Thomasson Rd. Dallas 75228. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Rowlett, TX. Arrangements under the direction of Sparkman-Crane Funeral Home, Dallas, TX.
