Tommie Lou Harris, born Tommie Lou Looney, on September 25th, 1930, in Cooper, TX, passed away February 17th, 2026, in Canton, TX. She was 95 years old. Tommie graduated from Cooper High School in 1947. She married the love of her life, Jack Pickens Harris in 1948. They had two children. She worked for the Department of Labor for 30 years as an Accountant.
In her spare time Tommie enjoyed baking, keeping up with her friends and crocheting. You were blessed if you received one of her crocheted baby blankets. Her family and friends will always remember her as a giver. She was constantly thinking of a dessert she could make or a gift she could get for someone. She loved the Lord and was an active member of Grandview Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband Jack; son-in-law Jerry; and many friends. She is survived by her son Jackie Harris, his wife Diesta, and her daughter Kim Dodson. Grandchildren Josh Dodson and wife Savana; Todd Harris and wife Rachel; and Austin Harris.
Services will be held on Wednesday, February 25th at Grove Hill Funeral Home. Visitation at 1:pm; Service at 2pm; Graveside at 3pm.
