

He touched many lives at Mitchell Elementary School, Plano West High School and the University of Southern California. Tyler graduated with honors from Plano West in 2006, where he had numerous academic and other honors, including All-District Honorable Mention on the 2005 Texas State Champion lacrosse team. He received the Presidential Scholarship to the University of Southern California, where he graduated Cum Laude from the Marshall School of Business. While at USC, he also served as treasurer of Phi Kappa Psi fraternity.
He was currently Founder/Owner/CEO of VanDMC, a digital marketing firm based in Dallas. He was a smart, outgoing, compassionate, well-liked and well-loved man who touched everyone he knew.
Tyler was preceded in death by his brother, Mason Edward Vanstory; maternal grandfather, Ronald Edward Hageman; paternal grandparents, Walter Gordon Vanstory Jr. and Ava Ketchum Vanstory.
He is survived by his parents, Brenda A. Hageman and Charles A. Vanstory; maternal grandmother, Alice Tencich; stepmother, Colleen O’Leary-Vanstory; stepbrothers, Darby O’Leary (Michelle), Casey Gelo, Ashley Gelo and Fletcher Wright; aunt, Ruby Hageman; uncle, Kenneth E. Vanstory (Kathy); uncle, Ray Rhudy; aunt, Mary Ann Haigh (Bill); aunt, Beth Vanstory Lemon (Tom); cousins, Ali Farrell (Michael), Mike Vanstory (Kiyono), Lisa Burke, Christopher Rhudy, Christina Milligan, Hiram Adams (Kathy), Jim Bob Vanstory (Mandy), Jolea James (Rob), Johnny Barfield (Becky), Misty Engelmann (Marc), Jodi Martin (Landon), Ryan Baker (Jenn), and Preston Bissuett (Tien).

A memorial service will be held at noon on Tuesday, August 27, at Sparkman-Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 West Northwest Highway, Dallas, Texas.
