

Mrs. Vera Armstrong was born June 27, 1928 in Lindale, Texas to Ezekiel and Ida Green. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, two sisters, one daughter, Ida Jean Armstrong and one son, Robert Dean Armstrong. She received her education at Lindale High School and she later received her nursing certification and worked at St. Paul Hospital for 30 years. Mrs. Armstrong had many talents such as quilting and a love for sports (softball and basketball). She loved traveling. Vera was the local Avon representative for thirty years. She loved spending time at The West Dallas Senior Center, they were family. Mrs. Vera joined the Greater Progressive Baptist Church and she was a faithful member for sixties years under the leadership of the late Dr. JJ Raven and current pastor, Samuel McGuire. There she served in many capacities. She leaves to cherish her memories one son, William Armstrong; two grandsons, Ketrick Armstrong (Shameka) and Kendrick Armstrong; one great grandson, Carson Armstrong; numerous cousins and a host of Loving Friends.
