Vicki Bly, age 67, of Red Oak, Texas, passed away on December 26, 2024. Vicki was a military child and was born in Germany. Vicki’s spent her grade school years traveling, with her parents and finally settled in Lawton, Oklahoma, where she attended MacArthur High School. Vicki spent her last 32 years living in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Throughout her life, she made a profound impact on all who were fortunate to know her.
Vicki was a woman of unwavering devotion and a generous spirit. She was deeply committed to her daughter, always putting the needs of others before her own. Known for her loving nature, Vicki took great joy in cooking special meals for her family. Once she knew your favorite dish, she would graciously offer, "Would you like some?" It was just one of the many small ways she showed her love. Vicki also had a unique ability to recount stories in a way that captivated everyone around her, bringing each tale to life with her infectious energy and humor.
In addition to being a devoted mother, sister, and aunt, Vicki loved spending quality time with her family. She enjoyed watching movies, playing games, and creating memories that will forever be cherished by those closest to her.
Vicki is survived by her daughter, Shanel Annie Ruth Bly; her siblings, Ricki R. Bly, Jacqueling Bly-Hollins and her brother-in-law Kenneth Hollins, and Eloisa Miranda Bly; as well as a host of nieces and nephews: Ricki Bly Jr., Cerese Bly, Airyanna Bly, Paige Bly, Dameione Hemmeain, Terence Bly, LaToya Bly, Jacob Bly, Isaac Bly, Elijah Bly, Blake Bly, London Bly, Cymbree Bly, Justice Bly, Jade Bly, Diamond Lockhart, and Toni Tiara Lockhart. She is also survived by many cousins and close friends who will miss her dearly. Vicki was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Stokes and Annie Ruth Bly.
Vicki’s legacy of love, kindness, and a servant’s heart will live on in the memories of her family and friends. Her ability to brighten the lives of everyone she encountered is a testament to the beautiful soul she was.
Vicki will forever be remembered as a beloved mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a shining light in the lives of those who knew her, and she will be deeply missed.
